COLLEGE PARK, Ga. (CW69 News at 10) — The College Park Skyhawks notched their first home victory of the season on Tuesday night with a 118-108 win over Raptors 905.

Hawks assignment player Jalen Johnson led the way with his fifth performance of at least 20 points and 10 rebounds on the season, and he was joined by two-way guard Skylar Mays with 22 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists.

College Park tied a season-high for seven players in double-figures and picked up a new season-high with 32 assists for the night. Skyhawks center Justin Tillman picked up 20 points and 12 rebounds for a new season-high mark on rebounds. Langston Galloway at guard, who was picked up by College Park (23 points and 13 rebounds), and he was flanked by two-way guard Skylar Mays, who scored 22 points to go with seven rebounds and a season-high seven assists.

The Skyhawks tied a season-high with seven players scoring in double figures and set a new season-high with 32 assists on the night. Center Justin Tillman had 20 points and 12 rebounds, setting a new season-high in rebounds. Guard Langston Galloway, who was just picked up by the Skyhawks on Sunday, had 12 points and seven assists.

Guard Breein Tyree led Raptors 905 with a new career-high 30 points. Romaro Gill at center notched 17 points and 15 rebounds for the Raptors.

College Park took off to an early lead, picking up 71 points in the first half for only the second time this season and the third time in franchise history. Raptors 905 outscored the Skyhawks in the third quarter to cut into their lead, but a strong defensive effort in the fourth quarter sealed the deal for College Park as the Skyhawks held Raptors 905 to only 20 points in the closing frame.

“The fourth quarter was huge for us; I loved our intensity and communication,” said Skyhawks Head Coach Steve Gansey. “It was so important for us to lock down to end the game and get the win with great team defense.”
