The Atlanta Track Club says thousands of runners are participating between the two events. They’re working with the City of Atlanta’s Public Works Department to make sure runners have a smooth, safe surface to run on.

Officials say they have filled more than 10,500 potholes since launching the Fix-It ATL initiative, urging people to report any potholes around the city to ATL311.

There are several road closures expected over the weekend during the marathons.
