After breaking up with the Joker, Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie) joins up with Huntress (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), Black Canary (Jurnee Smollett-Bell) and Renee Montoya (Rosie Perez) to take on Roman Sionis (Ewan McGregor) to save a young girl named Cass (Ella Jay Basco). Birds of Prey Website

What to Watch For: Margot Robbie pitched the idea of a Birds of Prey movie to DC and Warner Brothers. The studio greenlit the project with Robbie on board as a producer.

Word on the Street: The film may be part of a trilogy of Birds of Prey series.

My Take: I will see any movie that stars two-time Oscar-nominated Margot Robbie.

The film opens nationwide on Friday.

Word on the Street: The film won three awards at the 2019 Camden International Film Festival, including the Audience Award.

My Take: I hear from fellow film critics that this is an incredibly moving film.
