What to Watch For: The late Carrie Fisher’s daughter, Billie Lourd, will be making her third appearance in the Skywalker saga as Lieutenant Connix.

Word on the Street: The cast includes series regulars Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, Mark Hamill, Oscar Isaac, Billy Dee Williams, and John Boyega, along with new cast member Keri Russell as Zorii Bliss.

My Take: I can’t wait to see this film as I am a huge Star Wars fan.

A group of women, including anchors Gretchen Carlson (Nicole Kidman and Megyn Kelly (Charlize Theron), decide to take on Fox News chief Roger Ailes (John Lithgow) and the toxic atmosphere he created and presided over at the network. Bombshell Website

What to Watch For: Margot Robbie plays Kayla, a wide-eyed Fox News worshiper who begins her career at the network and must decide if she is going to play Ailes’s game to get promoted.

Word on the Street: The cast includes Kate McKinnon, Connie Britton, Allison Janney, Rob Delaney, Mark Duplass, Stephen Root, Richard Kind, and Jennifer Morrison.

My Take: I hear from fellow critics that the makeup in this film is truly remarkable and will surely get an Oscar nomination.

What to Watch For: Oscar winner Tom Hooper (The King’s Speech) directed and co-wrote the film.

Word on the Street: Cast includes Taylor Swift, Idris Elba, Judi Dench, Ian McKellen, Rebel Wilson, James Corden, Jennifer Hudson, and Mette Towley as Cassandra.

My Take: Taylor Swift just got a Golden Globe nomination (along with Andrew Lloyd Webber ) for the song ‘Beautiful Ghosts.’

A Hidden Life (2019) PG-13

What to Watch For: The film is based on real events.

Word on the Street: The writer/director of the film, Terrence Malick was awarded the Francois Chalais Award at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival.

My Take: I find it interesting that Terrence Malick spent almost three years editing this film.
