Most Pride parades in the United States take place in the month of June to commemorate the 1969 Stonewall Riots. But there’s more to Pride than a single parade: Many gay bars and other gathering places have special events all month long.

Hoodline crunched the numbers to find the top gay bars in Atlanta, using both Yelp data and our own secret sauce to produce a ranked list of the best places to hit the town for celebration and community.

1. Woofs On Piedmont

Topping the list is Woofs On Piedmont. Located at 2425 Piedmont Road NE in Lindbergh, the gay bar and sports bar is the highest-rated gay bar in Atlanta, boasting four stars out of 67 reviews on Yelp.

2. The Hideaway

Next up is Piedmont Heights’ The Hideaway, situated at 1544 Piedmont Ave. With 4.5 stars out of 16 reviews on Yelp, the gay bar has proven to be a local favorite.

3. Friends On Ponce

Friends On Ponce, a gay bar and lounge in Virginia Highland, is another go-to, with four stars out of 36 Yelp reviews. Head over to 736 Ponce De Leon Ave. NE to see for yourself.

4. Bulldog’s

Over in Midtown, check out Bulldog’s, which has earned four stars out of 28 reviews on Yelp. You can find the gay bar at 893 Peachtree St. NE.
