Preventing FOMO* one list at a time (*Fear of Missing Out)

Let’s talk events. Your list to the best events going down in our great city over the rest of the summer! Now, when choosing these events I tried to keep three key groups in mind: people without kids, people with kids, and people with kids that just don’t care (you’re welcome).

1. Malts & Vaults of Oakland

  • September 15th 5:30-8pm
  • Historic Oakland Cemetery
  • $6-$16

This is where beer meets history. There are only 2 different tour start times to choose from so act fast! Your ticket includes an hour long guided walking tour and tasty beer samples.

2. EAV Strut 2018

  • September 22nd 11am-9pm
  • East Atlanta Village
  • Free

This popular event includes art, parades, music, and food/drinks. It tends to be an over the top production for the eyes.

3. Free Museum Day*

  • September 22nd 10am-5pm
  • Participating Museums
  • Free

All you have to do is register and they will email you 2 tickets to use at any participating museums in your area.

4. Fall Plant Sale*

  • September 29th 9am-1pm
  • Historic Oakland Cemetery
  • Free

If you are like me then you know you can never have too many pumpkins or plants.

5. Tour of Southern Ghosts*

  • Stone Mountain Park
  • Park Entry

Explore their lantern lit paths as professional storytellers spill on the ghosts lurking in the South.

6. Atlanta Chili Cook Off

  • October 13th 1-5pm
  • Brookhaven Park
  • $15-$35

Chili is here to warm your Fall soul. General admission includes unlimited samples. VIP includes unlimited samples and an OPEN BAR!!!!


7. Little 5 Points Halloween Parade & Festival

  • October 20th 12-11pm
  • Little 5 Points
  • Free

Creative costume encouraged!

8. Sweetwater Scream

  • October 25th-31st 8pm-12am
  • Sweetwater Brewery

Come enjoy this haunted brewery experience by Brian Clowdus. This while be an interactive haunted journey…..with beer of course.
