If you were vacationing on an Island all summer long, with no wifi (go YOU), then you’ve most likely missed the – straw/wicker bag – trend boat.  Really, straw/wicker bags have always been a summer staple, but this year the classic trend is roaring louder than usual. Since the beginning of spring this year, straw design expressions have surpassed all fashionista’s expectation – leaving me drooling and never regretting a straw bag purchase(s).

I couldn’t think of a better bag to represent summer days: airy and care-free. Which is why, this year, I don’t think fashionistas are ready to give it up— just yet. I predict that your street style will crave summer’s care-free sidekick into fall and even winter. Yepp, imagine that wicker bag with your winter coat (might be freezing outside but you’ll be happy with beach bum daydreams).

Clearly, the answer for all straw bag lovers is to adapt.

So, if you’re like me, and not ready to give up your straw bag staples, then indulge below. These are a few straw/wicker bag styles you’ll covet with your moody jacket, denim jeans and booties.

Step out of the shadows.
