It’s time to zoom into fall’s 2018 fashion and find out which TBD styles will be starring in almost every fashionista’s closet.
Yes. I’m giving you FULL permission to slink away from your summer living (temporarily – scouts honor) to embrace the upcoming cool breeze on the horizon. And, in case you’ve been 100% checked out this spring-summer, fall runway events have been in full swing around the world and are everything we need to spy on cooler weather wear. So, I’m kicking off my Fall 2018 Fashion Forecast series with Missoni’s 70s inspired wear.
Missoni’s looks are known to always infuse color blocking, stripes and animal prints. This year, Missoni’s collection was inspired by the brand’s deep Italian roots. With the brand’s iconic vibe mixed with a historical element, it’s not a surprise the turnout resembles a 70s feel.
Here are four takeaways from Missoni’s runway you’ll want to zoom in on for fall 2018:
Color blocking has no limits come fall 2018. Wear it horizontal, vertical, skinny and wide on all types of fabric.
The patchwork designs displayed on the runway favored both neutral tones and bright colors. The way they designed the pattern here hints that patchwork plays best on outerwear pieces.
A total 70s accessory extraction but plays really well with modern pieces that Missoni mingled together.
Missoni highlighted accents of flares at the ends of bottoms pieces. For example, a flared bottom dress, pants and cape.
