Melissa McCarthy may know how to bust some ghosts, but she’s not looking to bust her trolls! After starring in the all female reboot of “Ghostbusters,” Melissa McCarthy got her fair share of hate from online trolls. Instead of getting bitter, Melissa just wishes for them to get better! She told People Magazine: “Weirdly, instead of getting mad at them, I always feel like, ‘Oh, I hope you meet someone soon that you can talk to, someone that really makes you laugh. I just root for that person to find a little joy.”
Melissa always explained how this little nugget of wisdom comes from what she teaches her daughters about bullies. “It’s the same thing I tell my girls, ‘If somebody is being mean, they’re probably really not happy. If you’re having a great day, you don’t walk past someone and yell, ‘Freak!’ If you’re happy, you say, ‘I love your skirt!’ ”
Thank you Mama McCarthy! The Dish Nation hosts may need to follow this advice. Watch the video above to hear some of their epic clapbacks!
