Have you ever been to the Oakland Cemetery? It is one of the most amazingly beautiful sites we have in the city of Atlanta. Listen, I don’t hang around graveyards or cemeteries just for fun. But the Oakland Cemetery is one piece of Atlanta history you do not want to forget.
The Oakland Cemetery is being incredibly awesome and is giving free tours on the weekends until March 8th, 2015. You don’t even have to make a reservation. You’ve got about 70,000 stops on your tour so pack some good walking shoes. Just kidding. One thing that I’m not kidding about are the beautiful stories that this great places tells. You will not be disappointed.
Here’s the schedule:
Sights, Symbols, and Stories of Oakland – an overview tour lasting 1 ½ hours
Saturdays and Sundays – 2:00pm (Now-March 8, 2015)

Saturdays – 10:00am, 2:00pm, and 4:00pm (March 14 – December 5, 2015)

Sundays – 10:00am, 2:00pm, and 4:00pm (March 14 – December 5, 2015)
