What to Watch For:  The film is based on the bestselling novel by E.I. James.

Word on the street:  The film is sure to be a big hit, and the director, Sam Taylor-Johnson has told  the fans that there will be two more “Grey films” based on the books.

My Take: The studio is smart to open the film on Valentine’s Day weekend.

Kingsman: The Secret Service

What to Watch For:  The film stars Taron Egerton, Colin Firth, Mark Hamill, and Samuel L. Jackson.

Word on the Street:  The studio is gambling on newcomer Sophie Cookson in the female lead.  She beat out Emma Watson and Bella Heathcote for the role.

My Take:  It will be nice to see Mark Hamill back on the screen.

In a town that is full of people doing bad things, no one notices that there is a new woman (Sheila Vand), a woman who just happens to be a vampire. “A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night” Website

What to Watch For:  The film has been described as “The first Iranian vampire western.”

Word on the Street:  The film won awards at a number of film festivals.

My Take:  The film is nominated for Best First Feature and Best Cinematography at this year’s Independent Spirit Awards.

Their family life becomes complicated when Samuel brings home his fiancée, Susanna (Julia Ormond), a woman with whom all three of the sons fall in love.
