In its second year, the Big Pink Cook-Off will happen on October 19th at 1:00 PM at The Ivy.

Yummy BBQ awaits you. I could just end this post right here, because I’m more than sure I just convinced you to go.

There will be competing teams cooking up their best BBQ for your vote. Along with the BBQ competition, there will also be a “Sauce-off.” Does this mean I can go around and wag my finger while being saucy? I totally would. Aside from the competitions there will be a Big Green Egg raffle, silent auction and live music. Growing up, I always thought the Big Green Egg was actually a big green egg. I was confused as to how that came out of a chicken. I know now and understand completely.

At last year’s cook-off, they were able to raise over $14,000 for the Young Survival Coalition, helping the fight against breast cancer! That’s amazing! They’re setting the bar extremely high this year, so get ready.

I bet you’re wondering about admission. No? Well I’ll tell you anyway. With your general admission ticket, you’ll get one BBQ voting ticket and a BPC koozie. If you’d like to purchase a Sauce-Off ticket, you can do so at the door for $5. Participating in the Big Green Egg raffle will cost you $20 at the door. If you can’t attend the event, you are welcome to donate as well. Here’s the address where you’ll send your donation:
