Deadline Hollywood has confirmed that Robbie Amell will be joining the cast of the CW show “The Flash” as a recurring character. The much talked about show “The Flash” is based on the DC comic about Barry Allen, aka “The Flash” (Grant Gustin) who is a Central City assistant police forensics investigator. Through a freak accident, Allen gains the power of super speed and becomes The Flash. Amell will play Ronnie Raymond, a maintenance worker at S.T.A.R. Labs. Raymond, in the DC comic world, becomes part of the super hero team,” Firestorm.”
Amell starred last season in the CW show “The Tomorrow People” as Stephen Jameson, a young man who discovers he has the ability to teleport and communicate telepathically. Amell has had recurring roles in MTV’s “Zach Stone Is Going to Be Famous” and ABC’s “Revenge”. Amell is a cousin of ‘Arrow” star Stephen Amell.
“The Flash” will be on CW69 on Tuesdays at 8 pm, starting October 7th.
