Mood: Broke, Stuffed and Happy
OMG… Paris, I love you and don’t know how I have lived this long without experiencing what you have to offer. Let me tell you guys the two most amazing things about Paris:

  1. The food
  2. The shopping

Actually, we can reverse that order.

The shopping was amazing. If you walk down the infamous Avenue des Champs-Elysees you can find any high end shop you can possibly imagine. I had way too good of a time at Longchamp. Sadly, I had to wait in a line to get into the store, but that did not deter me from getting my limited edition Paris Le Pliage bag. It is beautiful and I cannot wait to show it off. Yay! Also interestingly enough, the bags were cheaper in France after the conversion rate than they are in America, so of course I HAD TO GET ONE!.

Now let’s move onto food. It was quite the weekend for stuffing my face. I will have to work out twice as hard when I get home. Parisian’s basically live off of bread, and you know what they say, “When in Rome…” (or Paris! :D) So I devoured plenty of French baguettes and was very adventurous with my cheeses.

Let’s move on to the next tasty dessert: CREPES! So so so so good. I had a sweet crepe with Nutella and banana. It was messy and I was in heaven. (BTW, if you have not had Nutella, do yourself a favor and buy it next time at the grocery store. It is good on everything! And Europeans love that stuff!)

Now because my sweet tooth had yet to be satisfied, I decided I needed to try another traditional French item, the macaron. We went to a world famous place called Laduree where they make the most amazing jaw-dropping macarons. I tried caramel and vanilla. I was in heaven.

I may have left Paris 15 pounds heavier, and a lot poorer, but I was much, much happier.

PS – Catch the photos of my trip.
