Atlanta’s Centennial Park, which was constructed as a central gathering place for the 1996 Summer Olympics, is centrally located right in the heart of downtown Atlanta, making it the perfect way to cool down on a hot summer day. The public park hosts millions of visitors each year and is located within walking distance of the CNN Center, the Georgia Aquarium and the World of Coca-Cola. A key feature of the park is the Fountain of Rings, which displays a computer-controlled light and water show. There’s also a water play area for kids that includes 251 jets that shoot water from 12 to 35 feet into the air.
