Atlanta United Pubcrawl Recap

Atlanta United’s very first game in the newly built Mercedes Benz Stadium was on Sunday September 10th and to kick the party off the Atlanta Sport and Social Club teased Atlanta United fans with a taste of what the new home has to offer.

The Atlanta United Pubcrawl: Castleberry Edition had eleven participating bars and a sneak peak into the new playing grounds and I had the pleasure of being fully immersed in the celebration.

atlunitedmollyb Atlanta United Pubcrawl RecapMy first stop was the stadium. I picked up my Atlanta United shirt and was greeted by a massive falcon sculpture and the overwhelming entrance to the stunning facility. I began my crawl with a Peach Sour Cocktail at Molly B’s.

To give you a bit of info, my ticket included an Atlanta United shirt and 5 complimentary drinks.

Next up was a quick walk down the street to Meikos for a glass of wine. The weather was beautiful on Saturday, so I sat outside for this one.

So, something that I found to be really great about this experience was how walk-able the area around the stadium is. Castleberry has become a very cool neighborhood with lots of shops and restaurants to explore.

My next location was Bottle Rocket for a punch drink. I also indulged in one of my favorite games I remember playing with my dad as a kid, FOOSBALL!

Then I walked over to No Mas Cantina for chips and salsa and a marg. Let me tell you, this place really makes you feel like you are on the beach in Mexico with their outdoor cabana area.

I ended my day with a stop at Escobar, which if you didn’t know, is owned by rap artist, 2 Chainz. This place was super eclectic, and a great way to wrap up my adventure.

I ran out of time (and tickets) but the other spots I wish I could have tried were: Smoke Ring, Baltimore Crab and Seafood, 255 Tapas, Spin, Pearl Restaurant and Lounge, and Habanos Cigar Lounge.

Everything from the Benz, to the drinks, to the neighborhood was flawless and I look forward to attending the future Atlanta United games (and Falcons, of course!).  A big thank you to Atlanta Sport and Social Club for hosting me.

Stay tuned for recaps on future events in Atlanta, attended by yours truly!

Love being in the know of all the goodness Atlanta has to offer? So do we! Keep up with the Kait’s 8 Events List, and we will keep up with you. #Kaits8
