Let’s talk events. Your list to the best events going down in our great city! Now, when choosing these events I tried to keep three key groups in mind: people without kids, people with kids, and people with kids that just don’t care (you’re welcome).
1. Dirty South Yoga Fest
-July 29th 7-11pm and 30th 10am-5pm
-Sweetwater Brewing Company and Loudermilk Conference Center
-$12 to $105
Day 1- Brewery tour and tastings, entertainment, art auction, and 1 yoga class.
Day 2- Marketplace lunch and 4 yoga classes.
2. Bourbon and Bacon Art Show
-August 12th 11am-12am and August 13th 11am-6pm
-$25 to $30
You can expect a lot of bourbon pairing, flights, and cocktails with juicy fatty bacon and art.
3. Sky High Hot Air Balloon Festival
-September 1st-4th 10am-6pm
-Free to $30
What a sight for sore eyes this will be!
4. The Great Gatsby Lawn Party
-September 9th 11am-6pm
-The Wren’s Nest
-$25 to $75
Step back in time and enjoy all things Gatsby. And if you haven’t seen the movie….what’s wrong with you?
5. Sense and Sensibility
-September 22nd 8-10pm
“My heart is, and always will be, yours.”
6. Atlanta Grilled Cheese Festival
-October 7th 12-6pm
Anything regarding cheese doesn’t ever need a description convincing you to participate.
7. Atlanta Rollergirls: Running of the Bulls
-October 7th 11am-4pm
-$17 to $54
This is a strangely awesome concept that I am not even going to bother to explain. You will just have to show up to find out.
8. Atlanta Hot and Spicy Festival
-November 4th 12-3pm
-$10 to $30
