Allied soldiers from Britain, Belgium, Canada, and France are surrounded by the German army on the beaches of Dunkirk. Now, one of the largest evacuations will take place. Dunkirk Website

What to Watch For:  Director Christopher Nolan has tried to make this film for twenty-five years. The film is told from three perspectives:  the air with planes, the land with the beach and by the sea with the evacuation.

Word on the Street: The film was shot on location at Dunkirk, France.

My Take:  I am interested to see this movie as IMAX 65 mm large format film stock was primarily used.

What to Watch For: The film reunites Jada Pinkett Smith and Queen Latifah just over 20 years since they co-starred in Set It Off (1996).

Word on the Street:  The film was shot on location in New Orleans.

My Take:  The film is produced by Atlanta’s own Will Packer.

What to Watch For:  Writer/director Luc Besson based the film on the French comic book series.

Word on the Street:  Rihanna, Ethan Hawke, and Rutger Hauer make up the cast.

My Take:  The film is the most expensive film ever made in France.
