Let’s talk events. Your list to the best events going down in our great city! Now, when choosing these events I tried to keep three key groups in mind: people without kids, people with kids, and people with kids that just don’t care (you’re welcome).
1. Cocktails in the Garden
-June 29th 6-9pm
-Atlanta Botanical Garden
Sip on some delicious cocktails while enjoying the simplicity of nature’s gifts.
2. Rooftop Backyard BBQ
-July 4th 5-11pm
-Skyline Park Atlanta
This is an awesome urban way to enjoy your 4th of July. Your ticket will include a BBQ dinner, desserts, drinks all while feasting your eyes on a beautiful view of the city.
3. Atlanta Field Day
-July 15th 12-5pm
-Historic 4th Ward Park
Think sweat bands, grass stains, and getting hit in the face with a dodge ball.
4. Movies in Central Park-10 Things I Hate About You
-July 20th 6-9pm
This summer’s movie theme is the 90s. Every Thursday night enjoy a movie picked from that awesome decade.
5. 7th Annual Ice Cream Festival
-July 22nd 11am-6pm
-The Meadow @ Piedmont Park
Just show up and eat ice cream. That’s really all you have to do.
6. The Great Gatsby Lawn Party
-September 9th 11am-6pm
-The Wren’s Nest
Step back in time and enjoy all things Gatsby. And if you haven’t seen the movie….what’s wrong with you?
7. Atlanta Grilled Cheese Festival
-October 7th 12-6pm
Anything regarding cheese doesn’t ever need a description convincing you to participate.
8. Atlanta Hot and Spicy Festival
-November 4th 12-3pm
Find out which chef can blow the taste buds off your face the best.
