Campus MovieFest (CMF), the world’s largest student film festival, has brought ‘Terminus’ to Atlanta for year two.  ‘Terminus’ a four-day event devoted to connecting young creatives and industry professionals for the best of film, TV, and gaming. Taking place June 22 through 25, 2016, at the W Atlanta Midtown in Midtown, this four-day event will feature hands-on workshops, educational panels, game design expos, exclusive film screenings, awards, as well as chances to meet and network with celebrities, industry leaders, and much more. “Terminus” creates the ultimate platform for emerging talents and industry professionals alike to take their art and careers to the next level.

Campus MovieFest is the world’s largest student film festival. “Terminus” is screening over 200 top CMF short films and will announce the winners of this year’s Golden Tripod Awards.  Screenings will be  Thurs, June 22 – Sunday, June 25th at the SCADShow theatre (SCADSHOW Info here).  Filmmaking workshops and panels will start Friday at the W Atlanta Hotel where you can learn about the latest filmmaking techniques from industry experts.

The “Terminus” gaming track is packed full of workshops, panels with industry experts, chances to check out the latest technology, and conversations about the biggest issues and most exciting news in the industry. Learn new techniques; find out how to build a career in the gaming world, test out your skills, or chill and zone out in our free play room. Whether you’re a pro developer, an avid player, or a passionate fan, “Terminus” has everything you could want and more. The Game EXPO will have hundreds of free-to-play games from consoles ranging from the Atari 2600 to the Nintendo Switch and a Table Top Takeover on Saturday night.

At the Golden Tripod Awards Party on Friday, June 23rd at The Loft at Centerstage, Terminus is honoring some of the top films from over 50 campuses nation-wide. This party is hosted by YouTube star and Pitch Perfect Two co-star, DJ Flula Borg, and features live performances from The Glad Scientist who blasts his beats in Virtual Reality, NoneLikeJoshua whose video game rhymes have garnered him over 21 million views on YouTube, and local favorite The Hearsay.

Special events at Terminus include a Mario Kart Field Day on Thursday W Atlanta in the Great Room 1, where you can design you own Mario Kart, compete against other Terminus badge-holders in Shell Dodgeball, compete in mini-games and play the Battle Royale Relay Race.  A ‘Welcome to ATL’ party hosted by ChooseATL! at the W Midtown Atlanta Hotel on Thursday night. And the Terminus Awards on Saturday night featuring special guest presenters announcing the best of the best in short films and games from the festival.  And be sure to stick around for The After Party!
