If you are a fan of Japanese Anime, Comics, Video and Table Top games, and Cosplay you will want to be at Momocon this weekend. Starting Thursday, May 25th through Sunday, May 28th, Momocon will be rockin’ the Georgia World Congress Center. With 28,300 unique and over 71,000 turnstile attendance in 2016, MomoCon is one of the fastest growing all ages conventions in the country and is now one of the largest anime conventions in North America.
You will be able to talk to and maybe even get an autograph or two from professional voice actors like Rob Paulsen (Pinky) and Maurice Lamarche (The Brain), and comic book artists and writers like Eric Dotson (Godsend) and Brenden Fletcher (Batgirl of Burnside).
Momocon holds over 900 hours of events throughout the convention. There are Cosplay contests, workshops, martial arts demos, video game tournaments and tabletop gaming.
If you are into gaming, this is the event for you. Momocon is the largest gaming event in the Southeast. Over 105,000 sq. ft. of space is provided for PC/LAN Gaming, Console Tournaments, Console Freeplay, Classic Arcade, Board Gaming, Card Gaming, RPGs, and even LARP.
There is over 86,000 sq. ft. of exhibit hall space with hundreds of vendors and game company exhibitors.
Friday night, May 26th is Momocon Night at the Georgia Aquarium. The Georgia Aquarium will be opening for an evening session specifically for MomoCon attendees, with a discounted rate on this world-famous Atlanta attraction! Wear your best costumes and take photos among the fishes, as well as enjoying the various attractions, cool animals, and scenic views. Due to demand for a more private experience, MomoCon Aquarium attendees in 2017 will have access to two large tank windows exclusively in the Oceans Ballroom, with a live DJ and private, intimate exhibit views.
I will attending the event and will be posting pictures from Momocon this weekend on the ATLCW.TV website.
