What to Watch For: The film has a very interesting cast, including Charlize Theron, Nicholas Hoult and Zoe Kravitz.

Word on the Street: This is one of the most anticipated films of 2015.

My Take: Tom Hardy has become one of my favorite actors out there.

Pitch Perfect 2

What to Watch For: After producing the first film, Elizabeth Banks is now directing this film.

Word on the Street: Will Rebel Wilson steal this film like she did in the first one?

My Take: I am interested to see what new cast member Hailee Steinfeld brings to the film.

Iris

Documentary about Iris Apiel, a quick-witted, flamboyantly dressed 93-year old style maven who has been on the New York fashion scene for decades. “Iris” Website

What to Watch for: This is one of the last films by the late Albert Maysles, a legendary documentary filmmaker.

Word on the Street: The film won the audience award at the 2014 Hamptons International Film Festival.

My Take: Maysles made one of my favorite documentaries, “Gimme Shelter” (1970).

Where Hope Grows

“Where Hope Grows” (2014)

Calvin Campbell (Kristoffer Polaha) was a professional baseball player who has had to take early retirement due to panic attacks at the plate. He is struggling to raise his daughter (McKaley Miller) and feels as if life isn’t working anymore. Then Calvin meets Produce (David DeSanctis) a young grocery worker with Down syndrome. What to Watch For: David DsSanctis will become one of the first actors with Down syndrome to play a leading role in a feature film.

Word on the Street: McKaley Miller played Rose Hattenbarger on the CW show “Hart of Dixie.”

My Take: I hear wonderful things about this film.
