Father’s Day is upon us and aren’t you tired of cooking the same lasagna dish for Dad? Well, Real Men Cook for Charity at the Georgia World Congress Center is here to rescue you!
Get ready for over 100 dishes prepared by amazing chefs, cooks, caterers, restaurants and dads that just want to show off their culinary skills. Now just in case you don’t get excited about food like I do, they’ve got tons stuff waiting for you too. You’ll have live entertainment to enjoy by some great R&B and Gospel vocalists and jazz musicians. For the kiddies, you’ll find tons of activities like the KIDS ZONE filled with hula hoops, basketball games, double dutch, arts & crafts, clowns, cotton candy, etc. Oh my goodness, I might need to hang out in the KIDS ZONE then. Wait…that didn’t come out right.
Now while it is all about eating and fun, the competition will also play host to a Health Zone where more than 10 organizations will come together to do blood pressure screenings as well as give out information about cancer, prostate health and HIV/AIDS.
Proceeds will benefit the Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals Summer Youth Programs and the Principles of Manhood After School Program for At-Risk Boys.
