Wizard World Atlanta Comic Con May 30 – June 1

Wizard World Atlanta Comic Con opens up this Friday, May 30th at the Georgia World Congress Center. The Con is bringing the worlds of pop culture, comics, graphic novels, movies, television, sci-fi, gaming and cosplay for a weekend that shouldn’t be missed.
Some of the greats in the comic / graphic novel industry are scheduled to appear. Eisner Award Hall of Famer Neal Adams (“Batman,” “X-Men”), nominees Jerry Ordway (“Action Comics,” “Avengers”) and Ethan Van Sciver (“Green Lantern,” “Flash”), Tradd Moore (“All-New Ghost Rider,” “Deadpool”) and Jorge Molina (“Fear Itself,” “Captain America”) are among the more than 70 accomplished comics artists and writers scheduled to attend. And just announced, that on Sunday, June 1st, Stan Lee, the legendary comic book writer, editor, actor, producer, publisher, and current Chairman and Chief Creative Officer of POW! Entertainment, will make a special appearance at Wizard World Atlanta Comic Con. Lee will meet fans, sign autographs and pose for photographs. Special VIP packages are available.
Television and film stars are also schooled to appear such as Karen Gillan (“Doctor Who,” Guardians of the Galaxy), Norman Reedus and Michael Rooker of “The Walking Dead,” James Marsters (“Buffy The Vampire Slayer,” “Torchwood”), Milo Ventimiglia (“Heroes,” Rocky Balboa), WWE® Superstar Big Show®, Darryl McDaniels “D.M.C.” (“Run-D.M.C.”) Jason David Frank (“Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers”), and Robert Knepper (“Prison Break,” Hitman).
Cosplay will front and center at Wizard World Atlanta Comic Con as fans dressed as every imaginable character will roam the convention floor, often stopping by the Show Stage, the ideal place to see and be seen. There will costume contests for both kids and adults.
Question and answer sessions with stars such as Karen Gillan, James Marsters and “Hercules” star Kevin Sorbo will go on during the con. The Wizard World Film Festival, comics-themed sessions, movie screenings, evening parties and more will go on all weekend. Sunday, June 1, is also Kids Day, with an array of activities and programming specially designed for the younger Wizard World fans.
Be sure and catch the CW Crew Saturday and Sunday at the con! They will be showing a preview of the new CW fall show “The Flash.”
