When I was younger, I wanted to make money like every other child. I tried cutting the neighbor’s grass. Too sweaty. I tried washing cars. I hated getting my t-shirts wet (for obvious reasons). Then I created a lemonade stand. I sold glasses for $1.00 each. I was the only lemonade stand within several miles, so the demand for my supply was quite tremendous. But once my customers drank their lemonade, that was it. They were still hot. They were still thirsty. How can we extend the freshness of a glass of lemonade into an entire day? Well, the City of Dunwoody knows how to do that with Lemonade Days!
Throughout the entire week, head over to Brook Run Park for an amazing time during the Dunwoody Preservation Trust’s annual fund raising event! They’ve definitely got more than a glass of lemonade to quench your thirst for fun! You’ll find carnival rides, live music, and much more! Each day this event will host various family and individual activities that you don’t want to miss. Here’s the schedule for each day:
And I just got word there will be a petting zoo on Saturday and Sunday. I’ve already bought my ticket. The goats aren’t ready for my petting.
And to top off the entire event, The Big Squeez 5K will be held on Sunday, April 27th at 8:00am. If you ate too many funnel cakes the day before, the Fun Run will start at 9:15am. You can register for both here!
So if you think this event sounds better than my $1.00 lemonade, then get out there! Don’t come crawling back to me though when you realize their lemonade isn’t as good as mine!
