The Black History Month Parade

It’s time to celebrate Black History!

Join hundreds of Atlantans at the largest celebration of African-American History at the Black History Month Parade. The parade will be jam-packed with marching bands, entertainers, corporate & civic groups, dignitaries, and even a few celebrity appearances. The culture, heritage, and accomplishments of African-Americans in the United States and internationally, will be showcased all along the parade route.

It will begin at the corner of Auburn Avenue & Peachtree Center Avenue and continue through to Jackson Street. The entire parade will take place in the historic Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. & Sweet Auburn Districts. Be sure to get to the parade route early, as spaces will fill quickly. The festivities begin at noon and will run until 5pm. After the parade, be sure to drop by Woodruff Park in Downtown Atlanta for the Black History Month Post Parade Ceremony.
