Listen, I’m from the South. Sweet tea is my nectar. I can tolerate camouflage sweatshirts and caps. But, one thing that I love more than anything in the world is cornbread. The 3rd Annual Cornbread Cook-Off is answering all of my prayers on February 22nd, with competitors bringing their best cornbread creations to be judged. My mouth is watering as I write this. Attendees will get a chance to sample every single piece of cornbread imaginable. Did you hear me? Every…single…piece. There will be two types of awards given at the end of the competition. Festival judges will choose the winner of Best Cornbread, while the People’s Choice Award will go to the best cornbread determined by you. Just make sure you wipe those crumbs from your mouth first.
The cook-off is part of the Roswell Roots Festival and will take place in the Child Development Center in Roswell, GA. The event is free and will go from 1:00pm-3:00pm. Think you have what it takes to make the best cornbread? Sign up here.
Alright, I’m getting some sweet tea to save for the competition. Meanwhile, check out the City of Roswell’s official website for more information on this scrumptious event.
