Punch of the season – plaid!
From making a big stance in the 60s, 80s to 90s, the patterned love is back and ready for trendy.
Yes, we’re talking about that full-length plaid suit (inspired by “Clueless”) you still have hanging in your closet. Here’s an easy 1-2-3 to get you back into plaid shape!
First step: Ask yourself — polished, preppy or punk?
You need to ask this question when pairing plaids this season because you CAN go wrong by clashing all three styles. How do you pull it off then? Choose between either tartan trousers with a black top (polished), a plaid skirt paired with a crisp white shirt (preppy) or plaid shirt with black lather skinny jeans (punk).
My favorite pairing: plaid pumps with a little black dress (polished)
Second Step: Monkey See, monkey do.
