Every minute of the 2014 Golden Globes went un-wasted (I stayed up through the entire three hour show). Don’t be afraid to admit that you are still talking about last night’s show…because it really is okay. It was that good!
Here are my top Golden Globe highlights:
Olivia Wilde’s Baby Bump
I totally forgot Olivia Wilde was prego but now I’ve committed it to memory. She stunned the red carpet in an emerald sequined Gucci gown that hugged her adorable baby bump. Wilde was absolutely glowing!
Instead of hiding her pregnancy bod, the actress wanted to show off that she was pregnant and proud. It definitely paid off; She took best dressed to a new level for mommy-to-be’s.
Wilde and Jason Sudeikis revealed to People.com that they’re expecting a baby boy due in April. Congratulations you two! Can’t wait to see your cute bundle of joy.
Golden Globe Dance Party
“Hart of Dixie” actress Jaime King danced the night away with celebrity friends Taylor Swift, Sarah Hyland, Odeya Rush and Hailee Steinfeld! Their dancing stage? The InStyle and Warner Bros.’ Golden Globes after party! Take a spin with these photos:
Even a video surfaced…
And there you have it, Golden Globe dancing!
Tina Fey and Amy Poehler’s Monologue
Tina Fey and Amy Poehler’s opening monologue went down in history.
The funny duo made their rounds of jokes and almost every celebrity in the room became a laughing matter (whether they wanted to or not). Here are a few jokes from their monologue… you’re welcome:
1. Amy: “Many of our SNL friends did great work this year. Will Forte, Andy Samberg. You might know Andy from his hit song, ‘I’m on a Boat., which this year adapted into the Tom Hanks film ‘Captain Phillips.’”
2. Tina: “Welcome to the 71st Annual Tina Fey and Amy Poehler’s ‘Lee Daniel’s The Butler’ Golden Globe Awards!”
3. Amy: “Matt Damon is here, for ‘Behind the Candelabra.’ Matt, on any other night, in any other room, you would be a big deal. But tonight, and don’t take this the wrong way, you’re basically a garbage person.”
4. Tina: “The beautiful Kerry Washington is here. She’s expecting her first child.”
Amy: “Oh my god, is it President Fitz’s?”
