Favorite CW Couples of All Time
Becca RitchieBecca Ritchie claims she's from Mystic Falls, but really, she lives in Atlanta where humidity is her greatest foe. She loves comic books, blue nail polish and Jonathan Taylor Thomas circa 1995. She frequents Twitter to dish about CW shows, and when she's not blogging, she reads too many YA and NA books. She's an Amazon Bestselling Author of the Addicted series, a New Adult Romance. Follow her on Twitter @Becca_Ritchie.
With the month of romance in the air, CW series tug at our heart strings with relationships, break ups, hook ups and flings. Looking back, there’s been more than just a few CW couples to root for.
Wade and Zoe (“Hart of Dixie” 2011-Present): The unlikely couple — a Rammer Jammer bartender and New York doctor — hit it off in the quirky town of Bluebell, Alabama. For his southern charm and her kookiness, the pair has instantly become a fan favorite and certainly tops my list.
Damon and Elena (“The Vampire Diaries” 2009-Present): Delena. Will they ever be together? Their steamy on-screen chemistry might have to do with their real off-screen romance, and season four has tested their vampiric relationship more than any others.
Klaus and Caroline (“The Vampire Diaries” 2009-Present): Okay, okay. So they’re not an official couple or anything. But I thought no one could top Caroline and Tyler. And then in comes Klaus, an Original vampire with a heart of stone. The whimsical music in the background of Klaroline scenes are enough to swoon over.
Lucas and Peyton (“One Tree Hill” 2003-2012): Lucas had his sights set on the punk cheerleader, and as rising basketball star, he scored the girl and drove off into the sunset. My only qualm: their storyline ended all too soon.
Haley and Nathan (“One Tree Hill” 2003-2012): As a “One Tree Hill” uber fan (in high school, I proudly proclaimed this as my all-time favorite show), Haley and Nathan stole my heart long before Lucas and Peyton. From the first season, they were destined to be together. And we were able to take a journey with them through their adolescence into adulthood.
Chuck and Blair (“Gossip Girl” 2007-2012): Possibly one of the more scandalous and interesting matches of the bunch, their off-again, on-again relationship kept us on our toes, and at the beginning of the series, they looked more like enemies than lovers. In fact, they played with that line so much that their relationship not only became fun but an important part of the show.
Jess and Rory (“Gilmore Girls” 2000-2006): Ah, nostalgia. Stretch your mind to the other quirky town called Stars Hollow where bookish Rory breaks up with her long-term boyfriend for the bad boy Jess. Everyone secretly wants a Jess. If only he stuck around a little longer.
