The CW has picked up three series for next season: “Arrow,” “The Vampire Diaries” and “Supernatural.”

Mark Pedowitz, President of The CW announced the news that all three shows will return in Fall 2013. He said, “One of our goals was to establish building blocks to grow on, and now with our new hit ‘Arrow’ and fan favorite ‘Supernatural’ on Wednesday night, and the continued success of ‘The Vampire Diaries’ on Thursday, we’ve been able to do that.”

Pedowitz talked about the shows digital success. “Not only do ‘Arrow,’ ‘Supernatural’ and ‘The Vampire Diaries’ perform well on-air, they’re also extremely successful for us both digitally and socially. I’m thrilled to have all three shows returning to our schedule next season.”

“Arrow” has especially been a welcomed hit this year. The superhero drama ranked as The CW’s best series premiere since “The Vampire Diaries” in 2009. And “The Vampire Diaries” continues to haul in the fans as The CW’s highest rated series in target demographics and a top performing show digitally and socially. A nice surprise to almost a decade-long fans, “Supernatural” saw a 15% rise in viewership this year.

No word yet on new series “The Carrie Diaries” and “Beauty and the Beast” or the fate of “90210,” “Hart of Dixie” and action-packed “Nikita.” Are you excited about the news or are you still waiting to hear about another CW favorite?
