Sure, the Grammy Awards are a pretty big deal; but just as important is the glamorous red carpet, for the sole purpose of seeing what everyone is wearing.
This year’s Grammy Awards were no exception. Our favorite stars shone in gorgeous evening gowns, and if you paid close attention, you saw a number of brilliant trends that are currently of high interest on style radars.
When it came to colors, we saw a lot of black, white and red; the best was seen on Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift, and Rihanna.
And despite the “dress-code memo”, there were numerous skin-baring cutout designs, like on Kelly Rowland and Alicia Keys.
But in all seriousness, I really have to give the absolute BEST dressed award of the night to Rihanna.
From her traffic-stopping red gown, to her ivory-sequined crop top and maxi during her Bob Marley tribute performance, Rihanna could do no wrong Sunday night (apart from being seen cuddling up next to Chris Brown … what?!) — which is a big deal for me to say, because I’m usually not a fan of her usual choices. Rihanna looked stunning and elegant, and LL Cool J was right … we saw her “like we’ve never seen her before”.
I’m such a fan of her ivory-sequined number, I’m googling where I can find something similar right now.
What were your fashion favorites at this year’s Grammy Awards?
