take a note from the boy who didn’t want to grow up.
Last fall, we were seeing studs on shoulders and collars, and just about everything else we could imagine. Embellishments were creeping their way ever so subtly into our wardrobe. But we can’t wear the same thing all the time, and as small as they might be, embellishments are eye-catching, and people remember every time you wear that favorite studded blouse you bought. So of course you have to buy two, or maybe three. In different colors. Ahem — never mind the giant hole suddenly burned into the bottom of your wallet.
Part of growing up means dealing with money, and that’s not ever fun for any of us, is it? Enter Peter. Definitely the cutest of the lost boys. Who knew that we could take some fashion advice from him. The Peter Pan Collar is everywhere this season, and it’s the perfect alternative to save you that extra money on every studded, spiked, and sparkled top you see and want. Because even if it’s a statement-making piece, these pieces can go with ANY of the outfits you have, and they amp things up, too. Wear one with your crisp tailored blouse at the office. Then, match it with your favorite LBD for a night on the town. It’s all the studs and sparkle that we wanted on our clothes, but having it in necklace format makes it instantly versatile and recyclable.
Not to mention, it’s adorable.
