Remember when you said that Monday is the worst day of the week? Yeah, well Monday is ready to kick your butt with this new event I found at the Apache Cafe. It’s called Bohemian Circus and happens every Monday evening starting at 7:00pm.

Just reading the description of the event is just so interesting. It’s an evening of interactive arts and musical experiences all helping to introduce visual, performance and underground arts. Now with this visual arts experience there is so much to do:

  • Experimental Jazz and Electronic Music serenades you throughout the cafe
  • An artist’s reception where you can network while holding your house made dessert by Chef Ian!
  • Community Figure Drawing Classes

Did you see that last option? Community figure drawing? That sounds so intriguing! Imagine being a model, sitting under a whit satin sheet as these lovely students stare you up and down as they draw you. I wonder if there’s any pressure to make sure they draw you beautfiully. Probably not. Beauty is determined by each individual artist I’m sure. Each model is asked to hold certain gesture poses for around three minutes each time. Imagine me being a model…you know, you probably can’t imagine me sitting still. So, that wouldn’t work. I’ll leave it to the professionals.

Now these classes and fun sessions happen weekly with this event! The community figure drawing usually lasts until 11pm, giving you the freedom to drop in and create to your avant-guard heart’s content. Just remember to bring your own supplies!

If you’d like any more information about this awesome weekly event, check out www.apachecafe.info!

In the meantime, I’ll continue hanging my coloring book pages on the refrigerator and will never complain about boring Mondays again.
