“The Carrie Diaries” features a young Carrie Bradshaw and her group of stylish friends. What’s Bradshaw’s life without a little love? There’s a new kid in town. Sebastian Kydd — 6 foot-something, golden-blond hair, a smile for days and sweet eighties Ray Bans wherever he goes — this guy makes walking look cool. See his suave entrance into Carrie’s school, and you’ll understand.

Austin Butler who plays Sebastian gives you inside scoop of what makes Kydd so compelling. Watch below.

Sebastian and Carrie met about one year ago at a swim club, and coincidentally, he’s transferred to her school after bouncing around a few other academies. Of course he’s rich, and Butler says that Sebastian makes light of heavy situations to cope — like his mother leaving for her tennis instructor.

Butler says, “One of the first questions you get asked is what’s the relationship between this and Sex and the City? And it’s now fun for me to get to see the story of her growing up and what turned her into the woman she eventually became that everyone fell in love with.”

Will you be watching “The Carrie Diaries”? If you want to see more Austin Butler, tune in for the premiere Monday, January 14 at 8 pm.
