Atlanta has quickly become a hot spot for films with A-list celebrities. “Prisoners” stars Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal. The story centers on a Boston man who kidnaps the person he suspects is behind the disappearance of his young daughter and best friend.
An open casting call for extras was Sunday, December 9 from 12 noon to 6 pm at Rockdale Career Academy in Conyers, GA. Project Casting has more information about extra and crew casting.
On Location Vacations reports that the movie will mostly be filmed in the Conyers area beginning January 16th through March 26th, 2013. Paul Dano and Melissa Leo will also be featured in the film.
What kind of extras are they looking for? From OLV:
According to Tammy Smith Casting, men and women, age 18 and older, of all ethnicity are needed to appear as background actors in the film. Extras are needed to “portray middle class men and women with suburban and rural community looks; police precinct men and women, such as detectives police officers and precinct staff; and hospital and emergency room staff types, such as nurses, doctors, orderlies, etc”.
If you’re in Conyers around February, keep your eyes peeled. You just may see Jackman post-Wolverine, since he’s just finished filming the new installment of the “X-Men” franchise.
