Back in September, I wrote about the studio show for Plato’s Closet Fashion Tips  that we shot here at CW69. In the next series of ‘Fashion Tips’, I’ll be touching on the trends that Plato’s is encouraging for this fall season! And this, the first tip, is all about my absolute favorite of prints: the cheetah (or leopard, if you prefer) print.

Why is it my favorite? I’ll tell you. Because of all patterns, it’s such a classic. Technically, it’s always “in.” And not only can it be a very mature print, it can be a really funky one, too. The key is all about  how you wear it.

It’s absolute perfection with denim, ivory, brown and black. Red or army green, too. Gold jewelry tends to look best with it, in my humble opinion. You can mix it with other bold patterns, or use it to accentuate solids. It’s flawless as an accent piece; whether it be a skinny belt, an infinity scarf, or on the face of your watch. Leopard print shoes (ballet flats, loafers, pumps, chunky heels, you pick!)  instantly take your outfit to a whole other level.

But as much as I love it, do keep in mind: too much of a good thing does apply here.

So, as the cooler air sets in and you’re mixing up your layers, be sure to throw some leopard print somewhere in there; when I say it’s “in” this season, I really mean it. Just about everything you can imagine comes in leopard print right now. And not just in apparel, but in all other forms of design, too — especially interior. Walk into your favorite store; you’ll see what I mean. ;)

Check out the video below to see how we style the fall trend of cheetah print, using clothes provided by Plato’s! I’ve also included some photos of CW stars wearing their best cheetah style as well.
