Reporting Becca Ritchie
Becca Ritchie claims she's from Mystic Falls, but really, she lives in Atlanta where humidity is her greatest foe. She loves comic books, blue nail polish and Jonathan Taylor Thomas circa 1995. She frequents Twitter to dish about CW shows, and when she's not blogging about TV, she reviews YA books at Nawanda Files, a young adult book blog. Follow her on Twitter @Becca_Ritchie.
Cycle 20 of ”America’s Next Top Model” will add a very new element to the competition in the form of oily abs. That’s right. Cycle 20 will feature male models along with female models, both competing for the sole title of Top Model. That also means the male models will live in the model house with the female contestants, which should make for some love drama that we’ve never really seen before (if mascara-streaked phone calls to boyfriends don’t count).
Mark Pedowitz, President of The CW, announced another change for Cycle 20. “ANTM” will be featured in summer 2013 as a part CW’s efforts to create original summer programming. Viewers will continue to impact the competition by social media votes.
In addition to “Top Model,” second seasons of “Oh Sit!” and the ballet documentary series “Breaking Pointe” have been ordered, but premiere dates will be announced at a later time.
Are you excited for some eye-candy on “ANTM?” Is Rob Evans just not enough? I am more than thrilled to see how the change shakes up the model house.
