Once upon a time, a villain of epic singing proportions overtook the web. On Tuesday, October 9th at 9 pm, “Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog” will appear on the CW — the first time ever on television. Joss Whedon created the cult web series that features Neil Patrick Harris as the aspiring supervillain and Nathan Fillion as Captain Hammer — Dr. Horrible’s arch nemesis.
Entertainment Weekly has the exclusive first CW promo.
As a Whedon fan and longtime “Dr. Horrible” sing-along participant (although in the privacy of my own home), I will most definitely be watching on October 9th. Hearing “Brand New Day” through my TV speakers? Yes please! If you’ve never seen “Dr. Horrible,” I suggest tuning in. Not only are the songs catchy and so absurd they’re awesome, but Nathan Fillion versus Neil Patrick Harris in the over-the-top saga for domination is downright hilarious.
Will you be watching?
