Wilkommen und wie geht’s?
Marietta Street is feeling a little bit German as Oktoberfest takes over until October 6th! Der Biergarten is the spot to be with tons of contests, samples, and of course–beer. The traditional keg tapping was this past Saturday, but you can expect a flowing tab every weekend.
Think you’re just going to get some Michelob or Miller Lite at Der Biergarten? No. This place is great because it offers some of the most authentic German beers and experiences in the state. They have over 18 beers on tap, all waiting for your taste buds. And actually during Oktoberfest the restaurant will have Paulaner Weisn on draft, making it the only restaurant in Georgia to have it. No big deal.
If you’re not much of a drinker, and you’re bravely coming to Oktoberfest, there are a couple of fun things for you to do as well. There will be a Bratwurst Eating Contest, an Oktoberfest Tweet Up, and the Oktoberfest Olympics. Of course you might be battling some very “frazzled” contestants during the Olympics, but it will be fun I’m sure.
$35-beer tasting will happen on September 26th, so register in advance.
Remember to drink safely, but have fun!
