You shimmy up to the line for the Tilt-A-Whirl. You proudly give the attendant your ticket because you’re finally tall enough to ride it. You get on and it’s the best time of your life. Want to experience that again? Do it at the North Georgia State Fair!
Metro Atlanta’s largest fair is happening at Jim Miller Park in Marietta, GA. This year’s fair is expected to be the best one yet with new features and attractions like a new bike stunt show, the X Factory thrill ride, and even a robot that roams around the fairgrounds the entire day. I don’t know if I should be shaking or excited to see that robot though.
You can also expect some of the usual and nostalgic rides and venues, including the Blue Ribbon Car Show.
The main thing that I’m looking forward to are the amazing fried foods. I might have to check my cholesterol afterwards, but the North Georgia State Fair has some of the best fried pickles I’ve ever tasted. If fried foods aren’t your thing, how about a turkey leg? Just be sure to use your napkin after you eat it.
The fair begins September 20th and runs through September 30th.
