Becca Ritchie Becca Ritchie is a Georgia native studying English and Mass Media Arts at UGA. Ricki Lake returns with The Ricki Lake Show on September 10th, and instead of riling up guests, she has taken a much softer approach this time around.

From TV News Check:

Producers and distributors of the show are promising a much gentler and more personable Ricki Lake than the one that most TV viewers remember from her first syndication run. And if this taping is typical, she is.

Along with her new “vibe”, the show has an incredibly innovative set design by Anton Goss who has been credited for the production design of The Oprah Winfrey Show and Ellen. The stage swoops behind the live audience in 360 degrees, allowing Ricki to walk around and engage with them. The audience then becomes a huge part of the show.

Here’s a video of the set construction process from start to finish:

The promo highlights Ricki’s use of the stage with the live audience. Take a look at the video below. Do you want to be a member of the live studio audience in California? Tickets are already on sale for September.  The show premieres September 10th at 5pm on CW69.
