Bring on Fall 2012 — and with it, bring on the studs. And I don’t just mean Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley finally returning into our lives this October.
I’m talking about the latest in fashion trends being seen all over runways and designer style sites for this season. Shiny, metallic, edgy studs are hot this fall — covering shoes, jeans, purses, jackets and iPhone cases, too.
Now, before you think you can’t jump on-board because you aren’t an urban-hipster-rock-star, believe me when I tell you that you don’t need to be. You can sport studs from the tips of your shoulders to the very heels of your pumps, to just a hint of edge around your collar or waist. You can even opt for a studded bangle bracelet or statement necklace to add to a standard outfit. All it does is add that little extra — I see it almost like a hint of fashionable armor, to let everybody know that you can’t be messed with.
Simple denim and classic fall colors are even more perfect with that studded texture, and you’ll see pieces accented with studs in stores everywhere this fall. Whether it’s gold, silver, or bronze, these metals are cool, yet still classic, which means they can be worn for casual days AND for dressier moments.
After all, what’s not to love about studs, right?
