Reporting Becca Ritchie
Becca RitchieBecca Ritchie is a Georgia native studying English and Mass Media Arts at UGA. Most of her time is spent reading—pretty much anything—but most often you can catch her with a Young Adult book in hand. She's a fan of Bluebell, Alabama and vampires who live in Mystic Falls. She also runs a YA book blog called Nawanda Files (http://nawandafiles.blogspot.com)with a girl who looks far too much like her. Follow her on Twitter @Becca_Ritchie. TVLine picked 25 fresh faces coming to fall television, and 5 CW stars made the cut! I’m a huge fan of making slightly undiscovered actors, well, discovered. Here are the CW stars that made TVLine’s Fresh Face list:
Todd Williams, The Vampire Diaries – Williams will play Connor, a new vampire hunter, and don’t expect him to empathize with the Mystic Falls baddies. He has a “soldier’s mentality,” who may or may not become an ally of our favorite characters.
Stephen Amell, Arrow – By now, Amell probably needs little introduction, so I’ll let TVLine tell you why you should watch: “Oh, we pretty much spelled that out in our Fall TV First Impression. But in a word, Arrow is intensefunawesome.”
Liane Balaban, Supernatural – She’ll play a love interest for Sam Winchester. Can a woman finally steal his heart? With Supernatural, anything is on the table, and Sam’s life has never really ended or started with a happily ever after.
Grace Phipps, The Vampire Dairies – You might remember Phipps from the short-lived series The Nine Lives of Chloe King. On TVD she’ll play an old friend of Elena and Jeremy’s who returns after an absence in boarding school. From TVLine, “she’s destined to be dealt a heaping serving of WTF? as she discovers what has become of quaint Mystic Falls.” Couldn’t have said it any better myself.
Jay Ryan, Beauty and the Beast – As the beast, Jay Ryan’s character Vincent, will be sadly misunderstood, but I expect he’ll fall for the “beauty” sooner rather than later. Who wouldn’t? Kristin Kreuk plays kick-butt Catherine Chandler who puts Disney’s Belle to shame.
Do you recognize these fresh faces? Excited to see them on the CW this fall? Sound off below!
