I just got back from a month in Europe, where I found my way from Munich to Paris to Milan and then southward throughout Italy.

Along the way, I saw some of the most amazing new collections for Fall 2012, including must-have pieces and accessories that are trending everywhere.

And as I was window-shopping along Maximilianstraße in Munich, the Champs-Élysées in Paris, Via Montenapoleone in Milan and Via Condotti in Rome, I couldn’t help but notice that the sophisticated ‘Geek-Chic’ look is upon us — and there were thick-framed glasses everywhere I could see!

Looking smart has always been in style — but the thick frames are back in, and they’ve turned something as necessary as eyeglasses into a chic and cool accessory.

Even stars, male and female alike, have been sporting the thick frames — celebrities like Taylor Swift, Kim K, Jen Aniston, and 90210 star Shenae Grimes, to name a few.

I’m the only one in my family with 20/20 vision… my father just shook his head when I said I wanted a pair of fake-frames.

It’s okay, he just doesn’t understand. ;)
