Becca Ritchie Becca Ritchie claims she's from Mystic Falls, but really, she lives in Atlanta where humidity is her greatest foe. She loves comic books, blue nail polish and Jonathan Taylor Thomas circa 1995. She frequents Twitter to dish about CW shows, and when she's not blogging, she reads too many YA and NA books. She's an Amazon Bestselling Author of the Addicted series, a New Adult Romance. Follow her on Twitter @Becca_Ritchie.

“Under 25” chronicles young, upcoming actors that you should be watching.

Cassie Steele, 22

The Canadian actress has appeared on two popular television series where her characters pop from the rest. Her talents extend far beyond acting. Steele has released two albums “How Much for Happy” in 2005 and “Destructo Doll” in 2009. Her new EP “Shape Shifter” hit iTunes on April 12, 2007. Fans of Katy Perry, La Roux, and P!nk may like Steele’s powerhouse vocals, poppy beats, and smooth electronics.

Where You’ve Seen Her: Steele’s breakout role was playing Manny Santos on Degrassi: The Next Generation. Her character was pals with environmentalist Emma, and Manny takes the plunge from “Emma’s Best Friend” to full on “Sexy Chick,” bearing a thong in one of the most memorable episodes. We watched Steele grow up on screen, and thankfully, she’s going to continue to dazzle us this August.

What’s Next: You can watch Steele on The L.A. Complex, which has already aired the first season. She plays extremely likable Abby Vargas, a girl just trying to catch a break in the entertainment industry. You’ll undoubtedly root for Abby and empathize with her struggles to make it in a cutthroat world. Season 2 of The L.A. Complex premiered on the CW July 17 and continues with new episodes. Catching up is most definitely worth the time. Don’t trust me? Jean Bentley from Zap2it calls The L.A. Complex “criminally underwatched.” So there you have it.
