Rachel Bilson, from CW’s Hart of Dixie, is a fashion favorite for me. I love everything she wears. Mostly, because it seems as though everything that she puts on is always put together so effortlessly. If I could relate to one CW star in particular when it comes to personal style, it would definitely be her.
The way that we dress says a lot about us, whether we like it or not. Yes, we’ve all heard ‘not to judge a book by its cover’ — but I am definitely guilty of having recently bought a novel, simply because the cover intrigued me. Advertising at its finest. ;)
The thing is, what makes a great book is the content on the inside, no doubt about it. Imagery, plot, figurative language. But you and I both know that our first impression of that book is the jacket its wearing.
Personal style is a great thing, because it gives you the opportunity to express your inner story in just a matter of seconds. It says how you’re feeling, where you’re going that day, what you like, what you don’t. It says where you’re from. I could sit here and type out an essay about styles and how they change from North to South, East coast to West, country to country and culture to culture. Whether its colors or neutrals, floral or studs, your favorite jeans or a boyish blazer, what you put on matters — because its about you.
