Green Arrow lovers should rejoice at the news that a preview comic book to the CW series Arrow was given away at Comic-Con this year, but better yet, it alludes to the upcoming television storyline.
From TV Guide:
“It’s almost like a little mini episode after the pilot but before the next episode,” explains Andrew Kreisberg, who cowrote the story with his fellow Arrow exec producers, Greg Berlanti and Marc Guggenheim, along with comics superstar Geoff Johns, DC Entertainment’s chief creative officer.
In the brand new series premiering October 10th at 8pm, Arrow features a dark and tortured Oliver Queen who’s trying to make up for his past mistakes. Stephen Amell has already started an intense training routine in Vancouver for the rigorous stunts in this action-packed series.
For serious Green Arrow fans, the preview comic could be a prelude and hint towards villainous plot lines. Kreisberg teases TV Guide.
But the biggest hint of things to come is a haunting image of an infamous DC villain who has been teased in an online trailer for the show. “To us those 10 pages are canon,” says Kreisberg, “and [for] anyone who grabs a copy: Hold onto it and as the series progresses, you’ll appreciate it more and more.”
Comic-Con attendees, hang on to those comics. It sounds like something you definitely don’t want to toss anytime soon.
